Spring

Spring has sprung. Finally Idaho has gotten the memo and the weather has warmed up some. Some meaning a little over 50 degrees. I love Idaho. It has fantastic seasons. So different each one of them. Spring is one of my favorites. I love the flowers blooming and the grass turning green.
Another thing that comes with spring is Easter. Eggs, baskets, chicks, and candy all remind us of this time of year. One thing that is important to me about Easter is the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a time where we think of hope.  Because Christ rose the 3rd day from the tomb we too will live again.
Thomas S. Monson said this, "To all who have lost loved ones, we would turn Job’s question to an answer: If a man die, he shall live again. We know, for we have the light of revealed truth. “I am the resurrection, and the life,” spoke the Master. “He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.”
I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know that he lives now and that he redeemed me from my sins so that if I follow him I will live again with him. I love my family and I love that I have the chance to live with them again after this life. It is such a comfort to know these things.

Life

For the past while life has just been so crazy! We found out that our house is sold and we have to move by April 15th. Landon got a promotion at work and is now working full time. I have decided to go to school in the spring so that I can finish school earlier than expected. We have so many things going on that I don't even know where to begin. And on top of that I had some kind of flu last week that just knocked me out!
I love this quote

This is how Landon was this last week. So kind and willing to serve me. Our house may not have looked like heaven but it felt like it to me. I didn't cook, clean, or do much of anything but Landon was still there to get me what I needed.

Family is so important and it is so important to remember to serve the people in your family. We are here for each other whether we like it or not. Luckily I have chosen my husband and I love my choice so serving him isn't that hard.
I challenge you today to find a way to serve those around you that you call family. Do something that will make your home a heaven.

A Whole Two Years!

In July we celebrated out 2 year anniversary. TWO YEARS! I can't believe it. I still sometimes catch myself thinking, "Is this real? I am married." A lot can happen in two years. We have many many jobs. Gone to school and stopped going to school and then went back to school. We moved once. We have been in 3 different wards. 1 sibling got married and one nephew was born. And even after all that has happened surprisingly we are still in love. Well probably even more in love.
We were going go go to Island Park to celebrate for the weekend, but we weren't able to do that so we just camped in our living room.

It really was a blast. We watched movies and ate food. Then we did a little shopping in Idaho Falls on Saturday and just had the best time.

Landon surprised me throughout the day with these little sayings and treats. It was so thoughtful and sweet.
It was a great anniversary and I am excited for the next 50 to come.

I'm Back

Hello little bloggy world. I have missed you. Have you missed me?
Enough of the silliness. It has been way to long. I mean APRIL! Really?!?! This week has been crazy with going back to school and such. It is also the official end to our summer. Sad face. I really love summer and I don't really feel like we took full advantage of the beautiful weather and lack of homework. But I can't go back and change it now, can I?
We did do some fun things and now you get to see them all. Get ready... Picture Overload!

The summer kicked off with my brother graduating from high school. It was a lot of fun. This is the whole Young gang. Finally a pic of us all together.

Then I got crafty. I made this chalkboard with an outdated painting that was left in our house when we moved in. It turned out really good and it is so much fun to write on.

We had a couple BBQ's at our house. We also did a campfire and roasted some mallows. This is Ellie isn't she a doll?!

Red white and blue drink for the 4th

We had an awesome 4th of July. We spent the whole morning with my family having a BBQ and playing volleyball in the backyard then we went to the usual Pettingill spot to watch the fireworks.

We had an awesome opportunity to go zip-lining at Heise Hot Spring. I work there so my boss was really great in getting us a time to go. We had a blast!

Well those are the little fun things that we did. We also went on two different trips and celebrated our 2nd anniversary. I will do separate posts for those.

Reminiscent

Landon and I have been married for 1yr 9months. We got engaged in March of 2012. (to read the rest of the story go to this post) It was magical and surreal when it happened. I love to look back on all of the experiences that have happened in my life. Here is a little peak into the moment Landon popped the question and I said YES of course.

I am so glad that I have this moment in pictures. Thanks to my sister-in-law Missy for the pictures.

Perspective

Well hello everyone. Not a lot has been going on lately but I have felt so busy.
School is getting crazy. I do so much homework everyday. It is hard to focus most of the time. I get distracted easily. I am craving sugar all the time and doing terrible at eating well. So terrible in fact that I have already had two candy bars today. TWO! Before noon!
I need a vacation. Somewhere where I don't have a care in the world.

On the bright side I only have four more weeks to go. I can do it.

It isn't about all the crazy things that are going on around us but it is about the little moments that really count.
This video helped me today to remember what really matters most.

I hope that you are all having a fantastic Thursday!

What I've been up to

I really love design and I have been tying my hand at a few little things.
Here are two prints that I have made in the past month.

This is one I made for our home. It currently is sitting on the mantle for Valentine's Day.

I made this for my sister.
It is her birthday tomorrow and I think this saying can be a good source of inspiration.

Let me know what you think!
